Tynwald has been part of the local community for several generations; we have cared for our local community's great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents. Many referrals to our services are from people in the local community who have had Tynwald recommended, and we feel there is no better referral than one from the heart.
Our charity predominantly a Residential Care Home for older adults until 2020. A review of our charitable footprint concluded in extending our boundary’s and our services into the community as follows:
Our home generally supports people living at Tynwald who are 60+ years young, who may be isolated at home and need the company of others or have additional challenges due to physical or psychological needs related to age. The support offered may include help with daily living and personal support.
Tynwald is a special place to live where life continues to be fulfilling. There is always something to enjoy or to be part of, supported by an excellent staff group with enthusiasm and a good teamwork ethic.
Tynwald is committed to ensuring that no one Person is excluded based on ethnic origins, religion, and race. The culture we welcome BGLT and ensure that our service is Person-centred.
