What we do?

Tynwald Residential Home is a non-profit residential care home located on Hillside Street in Hythe, Kent, just a short walk from the town centre.

 

Operated by The Alice Butterworth Charity, the home originally formed in 1961 to serve older people in Hythe and the surrounding community. It accommodates up to 26 residents in single rooms and provides permanent residential care, respite stays, and day care services.

 

Alongside its primary care offerings, the facility operates a local "Tool Box Service," where a maintenance team assists older residents with small odd jobs and minor home repairs.

Tynwald provides residential 24-hour care, accommodation and support provided in a dedicated facility commonly known as a care home for individuals who can no longer live independently at home.

MILD / MODERATE DEMENTIA CARE

Specialised support tailored for individuals in the early-to-middle stages of conditions like Alzheimer's disease, where they still retain a degree of independence but require a secure environment and assistance to navigate daily cognitive and physical changes.

PERMANENT & RESPITE CARE

Tynwald Residential Home offers flexible accommodation options to meet individual needs, providing both permanent long-term care placements and short-term respite stays.
